The House in Juna is the first house of Quirico, it was later lived into by the Roscom family, Danny Roscom married to Milagros Luga - the first daughter of Quirico. Improvements were made by Danny, like the paved driveway, swimming pool, expanded living space, etc to name a few.
It has about 1,000 sq. meters in lot area size.
Since the time of Alberta Villareal Lugas death, half of the house was given of Thomas Quijano by virtue of Dacio en Pago.. as payment for his 7 years of work without pay. This half is Albertas' ownership of the house. Some rights to this house were sold to Thomas also. There are still a few rights not sold to him. But he is mainly interested in keeping the place in tact.
I have came across some disturbing documents clearly showing proof of Desiderio Lugas aim to totally eliminate Quirico Lugas Legacy in this earth.
The idea was to sell the remaining rights or portions of Quiricos' half to Victoriano Tan. Tan paid a visit in this house one time, but after seeing Thomas, Tan backed out. The same Tan who bought and destroyed the Bangoy heritage house.
Herewith are the documents I have discovered:
These papers clearly show that Desiderio has literally took full advantage of the SPA given to him by Milagros.
Now comes the questions:
- If Milagros values this house, then why would she allow this sale?
- Does Milagros know about this sale?
- It is stated that there is a need to sell... What is the nature of this need?
The selling of the rights of some of the heirs to Thomas Quijano was justified simply because most of the younger heirs were not receiving subsidy from the supposedly Administrator of the family intestate. For example; when Maria Christina "Ria" sold her rights on this property to Quijano, it was because she was totally broke financially, after she was literally pushed out of their own house literally speaking. Initially from Bangoy, then afterwards from the Gomez corner Roxas Blvd. Properties. She was left to fend for herself and her baby without a husband. Selling her rights to the amount of only P10,000. was biting the bullet for the right reason.
Firstly, Thomas is also family, and would do nothing to destroy the house. The present deterioration is only due to non-maintenance... but nothing to do with destruction of property.
When Desiderio knew about this, he was angered and wanted to get his hands on this one as well. He was supposed to sell the ramaining rights or portions to Victoriano Tan, possibly the same buyer who bought and destroyed the Bangoy Mansion or maybe that was Henry Wee.
What Desiderio overlooked is - Thomas Quijano. It was by sheer luck or fate that when this buyer came to visit this place, Thomas was already inside the house... and discouraged Tan right there and then.
Thomas is willing to sell back to us his portions or rights on this property... but not to anybody who do not respect and value the legacy left behind by Quirico.
Go figure!
