Quirico was born June 16, 1911 in Bohol. His father is Gregorio Luga and his mother is Anastacia Petalcorin.
The brothers are Maximino (Mimoy), Illuterio (Teryong), Braullio (Bulog), Quirico, Rustico (Tiko), , and an adopted sister... (Name is still being verified as I type) (the names are in random order).
The 5 brothers went to Davao in search of jobs and other income generating prospects. They have all married and settled here as well. (for verification)
Quirico finished 6th grade, it was already high education at that time. He was also a teacher and a Hospital Attendant. Being intelligent won him favors with Juan Villareal... brother of the House Speaker Villareal... from the Villareal clan of Capiz. He helped Juan Villareal win a case in court and in return, Juan offered him any one of his daughter to Quirico.
Quirico had the eyes for the younger Julia... but the older and more dominant Alberta was more aggressive in getting what she wants... they didn't have electricity back then, only oil lamps and most of the time, when dusk comes... it is really dark in the woods. (According to Aunty Bekky)
Eventually, Alberta and Quirico became a couple... but Julia was also secretly making private liaisons, specially during the time when Quirico is getting firewoods in the woods.
Soonafter, Milagros was born... she is the first born of Quirico, there were 4 to 5 other children born after Milagros... but they all died early or in still birth. between 1933 and 1940... there was an instance when Quirico became more intimate with Julia... of course, womens instinct is stronger... Alberta also strayed off had an affair with Braulio.... Quirico's affair with Julia resulted to Fidela.. I would say she is the first love child of Quirico... Albertas affair with Braulio also resulted to the birth of Desiderio... There were stories that Alberta had affairs with more men, some involved with Quiricos business, others not.... There were rumors that Ernesto was the son of a Doctor, Ricardo, Bernardo, Bekky, Rosanna, Martheus all have different fathers. I still have to get their birth certificates... but who cares?... Quirico treated all of his children fairly and equally regardless if they were his or not. He was a fair and extremely honest man... this is according to Danny Roscom, husband of Milagros.
Story to be updated and verified soon... (stay tuned)
Quirico P. Luga...
This blogsite is dedicated to restore a lost heritage... It is also a repository of documents, facts and other valuable information that aims to once and for all shed light about the real story behind the Luga Intestate Estate and about the Luga Heritage of Davao particularly of Quirico P. Luga in relation to the rest of the Luga Clan of the Philippines.
We aim to strengthen the roots of the new generation of Luga children... and their childrens' children, by establishing this virtual heritage site as their back board and hopefully, raise up their dignity as a Luga descendant.
